Null Reference Exception

December 15, 2015 - News Post

As each new holiday season sets in, I am more and more impressed with the off-the-shelf decorations that are available for your yard.

This season seems to be loaded with more inflatable Christmas ornaments than I think I have ever seen before. To be fair, my last few years have been spent living in apartments near the center of downtown in two different cities. I'm probably a little bit out of touch when it comes to the suburbs. But the holiday themed balloon gargoyles this year are freaking amazing.

My new favorite is what looks like a Creepy Camper Santa Claus who lives in an RV and opens up the door every 20 to 30 seconds to poke his head out. He's apparently been on sale for years, but this is the first time I've seen it.

The decoration itself is pretty great, but the true joy I get out of it involves the reaction from my dog.

We have passed this thing on the street every night for a week and a half. Each time, she growls and barks at the creepy balloon man who seems to be playing peekaboo just for her benefit. She barks when he sticks his head out, then stops the moment he shuts the door.

It's the same motion every time, every night. Yet this dog of mine will not stop freaking out. She is convinced that the balloon man is up to something sinister.

She hasn't quite convinced me that RV Santa is pure evil, but just to be on the safe side, I should get one to test it out. The second this thing goes on super sale after Christmas, I'm getting one for the living room.
