MVVM

October 30, 2015 - News Post

Happy Halloween, peoples.

I've spent the last couple days under the weather so I couldn't be bothered to draw costumes on any of these characters. To be fair, though, they would've been pretty terrible.

For some truly amazing Halloween comics, however, I strongly recommend you check out RGBros by Josh Davenport. Unlike certain other webcomics I know, he actually bothers to draw fresh art and talk about things completely unrelated to computers. I just found it a few weeks back, and I'm freaking hooked. If you wind up liking it more than my comic, though, I don't want to hear about it.

Speaking of my comic, today's is all about my fear of acronyms. To give you an idea of what I mean, I believe I will start referring to Don't Hit Save as DHS in the news posts. The time I will save by not typing out the full title should amount to 2 to 3 seconds every year. Those are precious moments I could spend chewing an entire spoonful of cereal.

As a side note, if you're an indie game developer like me who is truly interested at all in MVVM, I highly recommend the uFrame plug-in for Unity. That's how I was introduced to Model View, ViewModel in the first place. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. I use it for organizing larger scale projects. I watched them do demonstration at Unite in Seattle last year, and it's really helped me out ever since.

All right, that's enough tech talk for me. I have a costume I need to work on if I expect to get candy from the neighbors.
