Don’t Hit Save is four years old!

That means I’m forced to go through my archives and discuss my likes and dislikes from this past year. Sure, this is my site and I make the rules. But who am I to argue with tradition?

My Favorite Comics

  1. Overflow
I thought this was clever way to point out my least favorite answers on Stack Overflow (or any user group forum). It got an okay response on Reddit, but no one else seemed to find it as funny as me.
  2. Sincerity
This maaaaaay have been based more on my home life than my work life.
  3. Overhead Light
This was pretty polished for a Don't Hit Save. I like the joke and the art (I drew a new arm for this one). My neighbor has since moved away. I wonder if they thought their house was haunted.
  4. Follow The Instructors
I am 100% certain this has happens in my job.
  5. Which Is More Important?
This is hands down my favorite comic from this past year. Few people got it, and even fewer liked it. I think that's why it's my favorite.

Least Favorite

  1. Making Changes
Not my worst comic. I give a similar speech to all of my clients as a warning before we proceed. Make changes early, or suffer the consequences. This is on my list because I'm not satisfied with how I summarized an important speech.
  2. For Life
The insult in the last panel should have been more biting. Or even remotely biting.
  3. Thirsty
I kept changing this one after I posted it. Instead of being satisfied with the final result, I simply reached a point of exhaustion. I may still change this one.
  4. Movie Reviews
Although this was based on a conversation I had with a coworker, it reads like pandering. Justice League was a dated reference when I wrote this.
  5. A Few More Minutes
Hahahahahahaha. That's a lot of reading for such a little joke.

Most Controversial

  1. Business As Usual
Apparently, some people thought this relatable office humor was political. Weird.

Weird comic milestones

  1. Personal Journey
First comic without any dialogue. Go me.
  2. Suits
New costumes! Patrons got to watch a time lapse as I drew this.

Most Popular

  1. The Importance Of Time Management
I thought the dialogue was a little clunky, but this one hit close to home for a lot of readers.
  2. Diagonal Thinking
I like the colors on this one. The lack of Jeff's red shirt give the comic a whole different feel.
  3. Love
This struck a nerve with a lot of people. I was a bit surprised by all the caring personal messages I received.
  4. Reward
This has been my philosophy for years. I never work quite as hard as when the boss is away.
  5. Budgets
If my company's upper management is reading this, I'll make a deal: If you pretend to be okay with the punchline, I'll pretend to be okay with the setup.

That’s it! I hope you learned something new. I didn't. I already knew all of this.
