About The Comic
Welcome to Don’t Hit Save - a comic about tech, the workplace, and indie game development.
I’m Jeff Lofvers, a software developer who likes to complain. Out of sheer coincidence, the comic stars Jeff, a software developer who likes to complain. Don’t Hit Save was started back in 2015 as a tech blog, but I soon realized it was easier to copy and paste artwork than it was to fill pages and pages of text. So here we are.
Update Schedule
New comics are posted every Friday Saturday.
Once a week, this comic covers what’s going on in my life, the news, or whatever my code-infused brain thinks is funny. I try to post in the mornings, but let’s be honest, it can be at any point throughout the day.
I don’t take this comic too seriously, and you shouldn’t either.
What Else?
There isn’t all that much you need to know. You don’t have to understand software development to get the strip, although it may make things a little more relatable.
If you see a bright and shiny yellow background, the comic takes place at home. Sickly gray means it's in the office.
Information on the characters can be found on the cast page, but if you’re new here, I recommend diving straight into the comic.
Where To Start
Feel free to read in any order you like, but understand that it took me a few months to figure out what this comic should be. The first few comics are… okay. For a good representation of what you’re in for throughout the strip, I recommend reading these “starter” comics:
- The Dev Dilemma
- Null Reference Exception
- Touchscreen
- A Sense of Urgency
- Glad That’s Over
- At Our Busiest
- Private Browsing
- So Many Hours
- Sleep Mode
- Pay
- Code Mode
Final Thoughts
You’re already hooked? Good. I thought that would take longer.
