I stink today.
I've been battling some sort of cold or sinus thing for the last day or so, and it's winning. Oddly, whatever I have has left my sense of smell intact. Every cavity in my head is swimming in goop except my nose, which has enough vacant room for 3-4 cloves of garlic.
With my working sense of smell, I've been treated to a wide variety of odors wafting up from sickened body. This is a rare and delightful treat, because I can almost never smell my sweat when my head is stuffed up. It's hard to describe the exact odor, but I believe I'm currently transitioning from "skunk shoving garlic up its nose" to "rancid cottage cheese with balsamic vinegar." This is nowhere near the usual "sandalwood and spice" scent that visitors to this site have come to expect.
So that's me today. I worked part of the day from home and gave up for whiny illness reasons. I had some other grand plans for the evening, but I think I'm going to take a nap.
Enjoy not napping.
