Latest. Comic. Ever.
I’m writing this on the 17th, knowing that there’s no way my words will be posted until tomorrow.
I’ve never missed a comic deadline before. I’ve worked around travel, funerals, moving, computer crashes, ER visits, classes, contract work, illness, deleted files, injuries, and important television events.
But all it took was a neighborhood power outage on a clear and sunny day. Thanks, Nashville Electric Service.
The comic is already done. Technically, I could rent a hotel, and haul my PC and monitor somewhere long enough to post. I could also harass my friends before midnight arrives, I could still keep my record going. But I’m not going to fumble with all that in the dark. I’ll post as soon as I can.
It was a good run: 295 on-time comics in a row.
Someone erase that and write 0.
2018-07-18 edit: After dawn this morning, the power came back. I was finally able to post this comic. I wonder if anyone noticed the wait.
