I actually really enjoy TechCrunch and their events. My first-ever hackathon was at TechCrunch Disrupt. It used to be special to hear the word "disrupt"... now, I can't escape it.
The worst part is when friends I've known for years begin to casually use it in sentences about their app. That's like watching a perfectly normal TV show for several seasons, only to have the main characters burst into song for an episode-- it's disgusting. Everyone knows that musicals are NOT a valid form of entertainment! EVERYONE!!!
Don't worry, I've distanced myself from former friends like that.
Oh hey, speaking of friends I've discussed some other comics I read, but it's been a while since I've mentioned projects that my (remaining) friends and readers have been working on. Let's discuss a couple of those:
Jesse "Jackson" Kunerth is a talented artist who is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to help fund his Traveling Art Project. You can see the details here. He's extremely close to his goal, but the campaign end Sunday, so hurry up and check it out!
Ritchie of The Angry Buddhist has been working on a meditation app, playing soothing sounds and tones. Go take a look. GO GET SOOTHED NOW!!!
Okay, that's enough free plugs... What are YOU up to? I know a lot of you are working on games. Anything I might've played? Got a cool project to tell me about? You know there's a contact form on this site. C'mon, tell me about it! You know you want to.
See you Tuesday.
