December 14, 2018 - News Post
You expect fresh news from me??? Too bad.
I'm currently spiraling down a YouTube pit. At this moment, it's the most important (and seductive) distraction in my life... MUCH more important than telling you about meeting IQ Pierce, a reader I've known online since my Dr. Lobster days. No one wants to hear about that.
So what am I watching? I'm so glad I asked. The following people have taken up more time this week than making a comic:
- John Michael Godier - The well-researched reports of a science fiction author. He creates fascinating, thought provoking videos about astronomy news and our current understanding of the universe.
- Pitch Meeting - Possibly the greatest movie related posts since RedLetterMedia. Ryan George does a superb job of mocking that which I love, and I hate him for coming up with such a brilliant format before I could. Check out his solo channel for some hilariously weird stuff.
- Auralnauts - Genius blend of music and comedy. Masters of re-dubbing of existing video. Although their new Christmas song is delightful, their take on the Boston Dynamics robot "Atlas" is one of my favorite videos on all of YouTube.
I’ve been meaning to mention all of these for a while, but couldn’t find the right time. I have no affiliation with these creators, they're simply making things that bring me joy.
Since these videos truly represent everything on my mind at the moment, go watch those and spare me the effort of writing more news. You're welcome.
