Mocking It Up

March 27, 2021 - News Post

Today's comic is dedicated to my wife. Who uses the word "what" in the most creative of ways. She can somehow combine all of the following simultaneously into a single syllable:

  • I'm completely innocent and have no idea why you're looking at me like that
  • Up yours
  • I know I'm lying and you know I'm lying. What are you going to do about it?!?

It's not like her to lie, so the word "what" is reserved for only the most special of occasions. It is a mastery of spoken language that I will likely never achieve. I envy her.

In other news, hello.

It's been a while since I spoken about the status of the comic, I think I'll do that now.

Next month will be one year since I was furloughed. Like many of you, I spent the last year in survival mode, and it's something that I'm still working through.

I'm not going to lie, I've had a hard time writing this comic lately. I've missed a few weeks here and there. Some of that is schedule related. Some of that is not. With everything going on with politics, the pandemic, the economy, etc., I'm reasonably sure no one needs to hear: "Keyboards... amirite?"

Don't Hit Save helps me work through certain issues in my life. I love writing it. When things get stressful, I tend to like dark humor. When things get truly bad, I need something completely off the wall and insanely weird to distract me. Don't Hit Save is not that.

So I've decided to mix things up a little.

In the coming weeks, I will begin a regular, live twitch stream. I figure if I'm going to be making this comic, I might as well do it on camera.

In addition to making Don't Hit Save and Dr. Lobster comics, I'm going to be fulfilling a variety of other art cravings to help me pass the time. You should come join me. I'm still setting up the channel, I expect to start out a little rough around the edges, but I think it'll be fun (for me, at least).

You can follow my channel here. Look for more info in the coming days, and certainly a test broadcast or two.

I hope to see you there.
