Miss me?

Yeah, well, I didn’t miss you either.

I had a funky thing happen to me last month with the day job (see today’s comic). It is really really on its way out. Layoffs and whatnot.

This will undoubtedly give me some new comic material. But since my job happens to be my primary source of food, I have been putting 100% of my efforts for the last month or so into finding new work. No comics, no outside work, no games, no social life. Just harassing HR reps and recruiters.

So was it worth it?

Yes.

I’m happy to report that my job search has lead me to snag a contract job that should put some of my talents and/or beard to better use. Cool proprietary projects that I’m pretty sure I can’t discuss online at this time. The important part is, I won’t have a second extended interruption in paychecks.

I’m honestly not certain which direction the comic will take based on all of this. I know there may be a delay between what happens in real life vs. what I add to the comic. We shall find out together.
