Season’s Greetings!

It’s been a strange few weeks in Jeffland.

I took a funeral trip to Florida, followed by a week training in California. I finished taxes. I assembled furniture. Somewhere along the way, I think I rode in an airboat.

I have no idea where I am, what time it is, or whose furniture I’m using.

Thankfully, none of those details have ever been important to me. What is important is that, after the funerals, I somehow inherited a life-sized Gollum statue. A creepy as hell, knee-high, crouched, balding, loinclothed, emaciated little goober.

I'll stop short of saying my friend’s death was worth it—but holy crap, I love the little guy. He’s my precious.

I don’t know where to put him. I don’t know what I’ll do with him. I don’t know why my friend had him. I don’t know why he keeps moving on his own. But unlike my experience visiting Florida, he’s welcome to stay as long as he wants.
