Why hello.

It’s been a while. Life has been hounding me (as it does sometimes). I’ve been busy overspending on multi-billion-dollar social media companies and running them into the ground. You know how that is.

Jokes aside, I will miss Twitter.

It was never perfect, but there was some true value to that site. News, yes, even verifiable news, could be readily found there during times of crisis and unrest. That is not coming back, and it will be missed.

Twitter was a valuable tool for finding and receiving instantaneous information. Look at the Arab Spring. There are many regimes out there who will be quite happy to see Twitter crumble, or at the very least, become less reliable. It looks like they’re getting their wish.

Too bad. Billionaires have to billionaire, I guess.

Thank you to everyone who replied to the “Want to be in a comic?” question I posed. It seems I have many to choose from. As always, I’d like to make a video where I randomly select the winners. That may or may not happen this time, but an announcement about that is coming soon.

In the meantime, I’ll be archiving my Twitter messages before the site shuts down, or before I shut down my account. Whichever comes first.
