And like too many people at the moment, I am now without a paycheck.

After years and years of working with friends, colleagues, people that attended my wedding, I guess I expected a little more notice than, “Check your work in. You’re furloughed.” Silly me.

This situation is happening a lot these days. I get it. And what I'm going through is thankfully more like a "layoff light". They say there's a slim slim chance that my job may one day come back. That, and my current lack of coronavirus symptoms, makes me luckier than a lot of people out there.

It still makes for some truly hard times.

I’ll have more to say on this in the coming days. I’m a little scrambled right now.
