Before you give me too hard of a time, I know pretty much all of you are already impacted by COVID-19. Personally, indirectly, and economically.
Note that I do take this whole thing seriously. Very seriously. Deadly seriously. So when things get scary, my options are typically to go sulk in the corner, or crack my little jokes. I'm coping, okay?
To the best of my knowledge, no one I know is showing obvious symptoms yet. But it’s started. A few people here and there. First, it was isolated cases on the news. Then people in the same state, a neighboring city. Now it’s in the same building as friends but on a different floor.
Soon it will be friends of friends, then coworkers, then...
Well. You get the idea. Everyone already gets the idea.
I’m not looking forward to the coming weeks. Food at the supermarkets is becoming scarce. Any and all of the processed foods I’ve grown to love have been sold out for weeks. Restaurants are closed to dine-in guests (which I’m sure has more than a little to do with why the supermarkets are empty).
What a time to be alive.
While we all wait to see what the future brings, I'm making the most of the quarantine. I’m fortunate enough to have a job that allows remote work. And when I’m not working, I’m catching up on all my favorite indoor hobbies and projects. I plan to have some cool stuff to announce soon.
While we all wait for that, here's this week's project: did you know that the Don’t Hit Save comics contain 28,775 words so far to date? I didn’t know that either!
I can’t wait to see how I use my precious time next week.
Stay safe. Stay home.
(If you can)
